Dear Center Presidents and Group Leads,

 

We are very excited to announce that Region 3 will collectively present their love to Swami on His 96th Birthday with a virtual devotional offering.

 

Also, we have a wonderful and absolutely inspiring guest speaker- Sister Karuna Sarup Munshi, Director SSSGCVV from Prasanthi, as our guest speaker. We are very fortunate that Swami has sent us Sister Karuna to speak to Region 3 as we also commemorate Ladies Day this week!

 

​Bio - Karuna Munshi

Since the late 1960's Karuna Sarup-Munshi grew up in a Sai infused environment in Srinagar, Kashmir where she attended the Presentation Convent school. She completed her high school from Singapore with high academic achievement.  In 1980 she joined SSSIHL Anantapur campus and graduated with a BA and MA – Philosophy (1980-85), securing first rank and a gold medal respectively.

She was trained in Electronic News Gathering and Documentary Making at FTII, Pune and the Govt of India's Central Processing Centre at Asiad Village, New Delhi. She has worked as a TV journalist for DoorDarshan News, before she moved to Canada in 1991.  She pursued Communications Studies at the University of Toronto.  She is an experienced journalist and a communications expert who has held various eminent positions in India and Canada.

Karuna served the Sai Mission in Canada for over two decades. She served as the Secretary of the largest Sai Centre in the world for two terms. She also taught SSE Group 3 and served as the Youth Coordinator. She was the Secretary of the SSS School of Canada in Toronto for 9 years till she relocated to Puttaparthi along with her family.  From 2007 - 2019, Karuna volunteered at Radio Sai for 12 years hosting programs, producing documentaries and contributing to content for its e-journal H2H. Concurrently she taught English at the SSS Mirpuri College of Music for two years.

Since 2017, she serves as the Director of the SSS Vidya Vahini program at Prashanti Nilayam, an education portal for empowering rural teachers with values integrated academic content, training and teaching aids, all available digitally. This program currently serves hundreds of thousands of teachers and students across India as it is now available nationally to anyone through the Prime Minister of India's open-source education platform diksha.gov.in

Karuna is a grateful daughter of Sai seva dal parents. She and her siblings and their children are former Sai students.

 

Please join us as we present a variety of programs at His lotus feet along with loving bhajans.

 

Program will start on Sunday, November 21st at 5 p.m EST.
