Dear sisters and brothers,

Om Sri Sairam.

As followers of our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, we are deeply inspired by his teachings of love, compassion, and service to others.

Since Swami started celebrating the Chinese New Year in Prashanti Nilayam in 1997, the emphasis has been on promoting the core value of filial piety, which is the cornerstone of Chinese culture and tradition.  Our beloved Swami had often stressed on the importance of Love and respect for parents and elders. He had urged office bearers in the Sai organization to actively promote this value.

This year Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year is being celebrated worldwide from 22nd January to 5th February. Let us all specially dedicate these 2 weeks on activities to honor our seniors in the family, Center and in our community. These activities could include visiting and chatting with seniors in care homes, playing games or reading, musical programs, cooking special meals, helping with household tasks or errands, or simply offering a listening ear and a kind word.

We believe that by showing filial piety to our seniors, we can not only honor their wisdom and experience, but also contribute to their well-being and happiness. Hope all of us will be able to join in this meaningful and rewarding effort.

Please watch this short video that explains the importance of this activity and do share with others including our SSE children.
