Om Sri Sairam!
Dear brothers and sisters-
In His Shivarathri discourse on Feb 26, 1987, our beloved Swami said "Be vigilant. Be warned. Be alert and aware. Seek the shelter of the Lord and transform every moment into a sacred celebration." Indeed, His words are invaluable for us to constantly keep in mind as we lead our lives; including how we engage in online activity.
On this auspicious occasion of Shivarathri, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative called "Sai TechnoCare". Sai TechnoCare is a National initiative to help members of all ages safely and confidently navigate online spaces as messengers of Sri Sathya Sai Baba through awareness, information, and transformation. This effort was born out of the increasing importance of technology in our lives after the pandemic. As Swami says, our emphasis is on the proper use of technology than "tricknology".
Drawing from multiple backgrounds across centers in the USA, the core team behind Sai TechnoCare has been diligently assembling content to accentuate the positive aspects of technology while staying safe from bad actors. The content is available at https://saitechnocare.org. The audience is all ages, but especially for children and seniors who might be most vulnerable.
To provide more information and to introduce the website, we will be hosting a webinar. We welcome everyone to join in, details are below:
Zoom link - https://sssio.info/saitechnocare
Date : March 4th , 2 PM PST | 3PM MST | 4 PM CST | 5 PM EST
To sustain this initiative as a valuable asset for generations to come, we are looking for creative minds to add to a growing library of original content such as articles, drawings, cartoons, music, and videos. If you are a musician, an artist, a writer, and so on, please volunteer! There are also opportunities for website development and project management. These opportunities will also be discussed during the webinar.
Please contact Bro. Shiva Prasad (svankamamidi@sathyasai.us) or Bro. Padmanand Warrier (pwarrier@sathyasai.us) for more information.
Best Regards,
Siva Paturi
National Service Coordinator, SSSIO USA
