Speaker Introduction
Dr. Jagdish Chandra S. exemplifies the harmonious blend of academic excellence, professional achievement, and unwavering devotion to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
He joined the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) in 2000 and pursued his entire higher education under Bhagawan's divine guidance. His distinguished academic journey includes:
B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics
M.Sc. in Physics
M.Phil. in Bio-Photonics
Ph.D. in Physics (Nonlinear Optics)
During his student years, Dr. Jagdish was blessed with numerous sacred opportunities to be in Bhagawan's close proximity. He was part of Swami's entourage during His visits to Chennai and Kodaikanal in 2007, and later accompanied Bhagawan during the Delhi and Shimla visit in 2010. These treasured experiences profoundly shaped both his spiritual outlook and personal growth.
Bhagawan also blessed him with the rare privilege of speaking in His Divine Presence on several significant occasions, including the Veda Purusha Saptaha Gyan Yagna, the Vice Chancellor's Conference, and the Athi Rudra Maha Yagna. In addition, he actively participated in dramas presented before Swami—not only as an actor but also as a scriptwriter and director—offering his talents at His Lotus Feet.
Following the completion of his doctoral studies, Dr. Jagdish briefly served as a Professor in the Department of Physics at SSSIHL before embarking on an outstanding international career in semiconductor technology.
Over the past decade, he has held leadership positions with globally renowned organizations including IBM Semiconductors, KLA, ZEISS, Brooks Automation, and currently serves as Senior Director at Onto Innovation in Wilmington, Massachusetts. His professional journey reflects a rare combination of scientific innovation, visionary leadership, and commitment to excellence.
Despite the demands of a distinguished global career, Dr. Jagdish has remained deeply connected to Bhagawan's mission. Through his inspiring talks, he continues to share Swami's teachings, demonstrating how spiritual values can be seamlessly integrated into education, research, leadership, and professional life.
