As the spirit of 2026 New Year and in continuation of Swami's Centenary Birthday Year celebrations are in air,

16th Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Alumni Meet | Inaugural Session | Jan 31, 2026

The Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas - 16th All India Alumni Meet, themed "The Voice and Message of the Avatar," unfolded as a deeply inspiring testimony to the timeless impact of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's divine blueprint for character formation. Around 2,500 Bal Vikas alumni, gurus, and students assembled at His holy abode, creating an atmosphere charged with devotion, gratitude, and shared purpose. The proceedings began on an auspicious note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by revered dignitaries. This was followed by a soulful rendition of the welcome song by ladies from West Bengal, whose melodious offering beautifully set the spiritual tone for the sessions that followed. What gave the meet its unique radiance were the heartfelt reflections shared by alumni, each narrative echoing the quiet strength and clarity drawn from practising Sai values in real-world situations. One alumnus spoke movingly of complete surrender, where missing a crucial registration for a prestigious national event eventually unfolded into an unexpected divine orchestration—culminating in an invitation to present his project at the very same forum. Another alumnus recalled a deeply testing phase of life when he was falsely accused of examination malpractice, and how the values imbibed through Bal Vikas helped him remain steadfast, truthful, and resilient until justice prevailed. The session also served as a moment of gratitude and recognition, as Achievement Awards were presented to Bal Vikas alumni from various states who have distinguished themselves in diverse professional arenas, exemplifying the practical application of Sathya Sai ideals in society. Adding further significance to the occasion was the release of a commemorative coffee table book titled "Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas: The Voice and Message of the Avatar." This beautifully curated volume brings together articles and reflections authored by Bal Vikas alumni and students from across India, capturing the living, breathing legacy of Bal Vikas and its transformative influence across generations. The morning concluded on a graceful and uplifting note with a beautiful dance presentation by girls from Andhra Pradesh, leaving the audience with hearts full of devotion and renewed inspiration to live as true messengers of Bhagawan's love and message. Tracing its sacred origins to 1969, the Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Movement was lovingly described as a Mahavruksha—a mighty tree—that today nurtures over 1,676 Bal Vikas centres through the selfless dedication of 21,370 gurus spread across the length and breadth of India.

13th Benediction Ceremony of Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Meet | Feb 01, 2026

The two-day Sri Sathya Sai All India Bal Vikas Alumni Meet came to a grand and reverential close this morning with all functionaries of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations marching in a solemn procession, offering their heartfelt gratitude at the Divine Lotus Feet—an atmosphere filled with unity, humility, and devotion. The concluding session opened with a vibrant & devotional पहाड़ी (Pahari) dance, "Shiv Shakti Sai Arpanam," by children from Himachal Pradesh, symbolising surrender, cultural richness, and the living spirit of Bal Vikas in young hearts. This was followed by the presentation of the Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Alumni Excellence Awards (Mahila), honouring alumnae from across the country whose lives stand as shining examples of Truth, Love, and Right Conduct expressed through professional excellence and selfless service. A deeply moving highlight of the morning was the 13th Benediction Ceremony, where diploma students took a solemn oath to live righteously, serve their parents, and uphold Swami's eternal message of the oneness of humanity and love. The sacred moment reaffirmed Bal Vikas as a lifelong commitment, not merely a course of study, sealing the meet with purpose, promise, and Divine grace. Drawing a powerful parallel between the National financial budget being presented in Parliament now and the Organisation's own "budget," Mr Nimesh Pandya (AIP - SSSSO), described Bal Vikas as an investment in human character—one that produces men and women of integrity, self-confidence, and resilience. He paid reverent tribute to Bal Vikas gurus who have served selflessly for over six decades, shaping generations with love and sacrifice. Highlighting the global footprint of the movement, he noted with pride that Bal Vikas alumni today serve society across the world, living embodiments of Swami's message.

Sister Lynette Rampersad was born in Trinidad, in the beautiful twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies. Her ancestors migrated from India, and she comes from a devout, orthodox Hindu family where strong religious and cultural traditions have been lovingly preserved.

Her family's association with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba dates back to 1975, when devotees from Trinidad first began traveling to Prasanthi Nilayam. For the past 30 years, Lynette has been an active member of the Sri Sathya Sai Centre, serving in multiple capacities. As a lead kirtan singer, she has offered devotional music for decades, while also providing dedicated support across the Seva and Education wings of the Organisation.

Now retired from her professional career as an Economist in the Government Service, Lynette continues to devote her time to spiritual and community service. She is married and blessed with two sons, and her entire family is actively engaged in Swami's work, living by His message of love, service, and unity.

Why visit Prasanthi Nilayam when Sathya Sai is omnipresent?+

With this in mind, let us not make a mistake of settling for less. Swami breathes and speaks to us through His Sannidhi (the consecrated space in Sai Kulwant Hall that is saturated with His Grace and presence) . In Prasanthi Nilayam. Sri Sathya Sai's advent on the land of Parthi is a planned universal event.

Why did He choose Puttaparthi out of all the millions of places in the world?+

Let us see what Swami said—"Puttaparthi is the place which will ensure that we will not have rebirth. If you stay in Prasanthi Nilayam—a sacred Dhama(that transcendental place beyond all the limitations and misery of the material world of birth and death), and you undertake any penance, any sadhana (spiritual practice), any dhyana (meditation), japa (chanting), this place will grant you that blessing of coming out of the cycle of birth and death." What a profound message from the Lord of the Universe!

Well, do you know what is the heart of Prasanthi Nilayam?+

It is Sai Kulwant Hall—the powerhouse of this holy place.

Do you know the significance of the green ceiling in the Sai Kulwant hall?+

Swami once asked a devotee, "Do you know the reason I suggested the green color? Do you remember what I told you when I gave you this ring?" He said, "Swami! You told me that this is an Emerald Ring. Emerald is for peace, and that I needed Peace!" Swami held the ring and spoke thus: "Exactly. Thousands of devotees arrive here, with many problems. They have Money problems, child problems, Job problems, Health problems, Children's education problems and likewise many many problems. I cannot go on giving Emerald rings to each and every one. What I have done? This is gold, and there is gold up there. This is emerald, and there is the emerald up in the ceiling. What I am doing is that, I am transforming the entire Kulwant Hall into an emerald Hall. Whoever is sitting inside this hall is getting the shower of Divine rays of peace, even without their knowing." Swami further told, "Bhagavan had done this for the sake of devotees; Not for the sake of Bhagavan Himself!!!"

Where else would the divine vibrations go when the Lord Himself walked on this piece of earth for decades?+

This place-Puttaparthi, where He taught humanity with instant love, is so charged, and consecrated by love. His guiding hands are even now felt in every being's life; His perennial love is building in every heart; His beautiful smile is divinizing every mechanical life; His silent whispers are ringing in every ear; His eye is on each of us on the Darshan grounds; He is present in every inch of Prasanthi Nilayam. Parthi is still heaven on earth. It is no different than it was when it carried the physical proximity of Swami. He is after all, God incarnate and that is the reason, Prasanthi Nilayam still carries its meaning even now.
